Designed 2 Delight Friday's Free Image Challenge

Here's this week's card for Designed 2 Delight's weekly progressive challenge.  They have some really cute images and it's always a lot of fun for me to open up my emails on Friday to see what this week's gift (free digi) is.  If you haven't participated before you should really give it a try.  Unlike regular challenges this one always makes you feel like you've won because you get a prize just for participating.
The first Friday of the month they offer a freebie to everyone on their blog Delightful Inspirations.  So be sure and grab it next Friday and start playing.  You have to participate each week to get the next week's freebie, but if you miss a week you can always buy it in their store to continue playing.  To get started just make sure to stop by the first Friday of the month.
This card also qualifies for their DT Saturday Challenge which is "Anything Goes" this week so you can definitely play that one so what are you waiting for?

Lucky #13

I just want to say welcome and thank you to my new friends I made in the Sweet Stamping Treats blog hop.   I've tried to get around and follow everyone back, but apparently Blogger is still having issues.  At least it is with my followers list!   One person is showing up in the picture list with 2 different pictures and one isn't showing up in the picture list at all even tho' she has a profile picture on her comment.  Anyway, I had 16 comments and one bonus entry for a total of 17.  I'm sorry I don't know how to post the picture of random number generator but our dear RANDY picked lucky #13
SBH44       I hope your son is OK. Your cards are cute. Sbhager4atyahoodotcom
I'll be sending you an email as soon as I get this posted, so be on the lookout.  Thanks again everyone for stopping by and leaving comments and best wishes for my son.

Cue the Pointer Sisters- "I'm so Excited"

OK, it doesn't take much......
I've just got to share this with y'all.  I started with this piece of foam core board which I got half off- so we're talking $1.

TA DAA- Copic storage for $1.

You can see the old cases I have been using.  They're nice but they can be a little aggravating.  I wanted something that would store the markers horizontally and be easy to slide them in & out of.  It may be a little ridiculous to put such nice (expensive) markers in such a cheap unit, but hey, it doesn't bother me!  I've made another one to go beside this one> OK, so technically it cost me $2.  Anyway, I think I'm going to cut a long piece to use as a shelf across the top of the two of them.  That's just a spare piece of board laid on top of this one.

I saw this idea on someone's blog.  I can not for the life of me remember the blog (She wasn't someone I follow, I just know her name was Karen, sorry!)    Her's was a lot nicer than mine, but these will do me just fine.  I'm not sure but she may have put a back on her's, I didn't, but that's something I can always go back and do later if I want to.  Now if only I had a lot more Copics to put in them!!!  Please let me know if you make one for yourself, I'd love to see it.

Sweet Stamping Treats very first blog hop

Welcome to Sweet Stamping Treats First Ever New Release Blog Hop!
I’m so glad you’ve come by today.  If you are just catching this post from the dashboard be sure and hop all the way around so you don’t miss any of the cute projects the ladies have put together.  If you want to start at the beginning go HERE.
This hop is all about the new releases at Sweet Stamping Treats.  I was given these two new digis  from the release to work with.

In addition to the SST chicken digi, I used a sentiment stamp from K Andrew’s Food for Thought set.
Before I show you, let me explain a little about this 2nd project.  I intended to make a set of notecards with the little flower digi using lots of layers, maybe a few Cricut cuts and some Spellbinders dies.  What you see is not exactly what I had in mind.  Due to circumstances beyond my control, namely my son getting a football injury which involved a lot of time hopping from one Dr.’s office to another with x-rays, a CAT scan and an MRI this week I just didn’t have time to make the set like I wanted.  I thought I'd at least do a very simplified, all digital version so I could show the flower digi.  I printed a total of 8 cards, 4 horizontal and 4 vertical.

Well, let’s get to why you’re here….this IS a Hop so of course there are prizes! One lucky winner who comments on the SST Blog will get to choose 3 stamps from the new release, plus there are 3 more chances to win 1 stamp of your choice from the new releases hidden in some of the blogs on the hop! All you have to do is hop along and leave comments. You must be a follower of SST and the blog where the winner is hidden to win a stamp, so make sure you comment.  *As an added bonus I’m going to throw in a little something myself for one lucky commenter on my post.    Hint: it will have something to do with the holidays.  I will announce that winner next Monday or Tuesday.   Here’s a way to get a bonus entry.  When you get to my friend Amy’s (she’s just 4 stops away) be sure and tell her you hope her little birds are singing today.  I’ll be checking to see who does this……heck I may give you 2 bonus entries for this one.
And now it’s on to Lynda’s.
Wishing you all sunshine and smiles
love and laugher.

Here’s the whole line up in case you get lost or stuck somewhere along the way.
